Travel WritingWe like to explore the destinations of West Virginia, seeking secluded hideaways and affordable adventures. We want to produce strong, fresh pieces calling others to escape to "Almost Heaven" West Virginia. Our pieces are unique, built on the perspectives of two travelers, with photos taken through four different cameras and three types of lenses. For our features, we often like to focus on out-of-the-way locations, affordable travel options, camping, hiking, geocaching, and pet-friendly places. We offer all aspects of travel writing and photography, well-suited for magazines, books, location/destination coverage, public relations firms, advertising agencies, and many other uses. We also pursue writing and photography projects for travel marketing firms and resorts and destinations. As published travel writers and photographers, we can offer editors topical travel features suitable for magazines or newspapers. All editorial is accompanied by a range of images which relate specifically to the articles. Articles produced by the couple appear regularly in Two-Lane Livin' magazine, and have appeared in Wonderful West Virginia. Writing clips, samples and columns are available online within this site, at Two-Lane Livin' magazine, and at AssociatedContent.com.

Our Monthly Column For our monthly column in Two-Lane Livin' magazine, we look for out-of-the-way places, as non-commercial as possible. Our features have brought deserving attention to small, family-owned and non-profit recreation destinations and natural escapes. For a sample of our writing style and services, past installments of our column can be viewed online where each monthly feature is archived, forever accessible to online readers seeking West Virginia destinations and reviews. We prefer to travel to pet-friendly locations, as our spoiled beagle, Daisy Dewdrop, hates to be left home alone. We also prefer, when possible, to be outside as much as possible, and to feature the not-so-obvious treats and offerings of each location we visit. Our columns are a service to our readers as well as our subjects, and we gladly offer our subjects reprint permissions of their article as well as digital files of all text and published photographs created from our visit. We do not charge our subjects for these services, we only ask they do what they can to keep our expenses as low as possible. If you own, manage or know of a unique or special location, event or destination in West Virginia that should be shared with over 35,000 readers, please contact us to make a suggestion or arrangements for us to visit you.
